ESAC Eastern Shore Art Center

at Earth Day Mobile Bay

Nancy Raia: Click to hold View "We raced to paint, against impending stormy weather.
The final step, as the gray skies
broke over us, was to add the clean sand of Mobile Bay to the painting, to commemorate the day and location of this timely project."

This is part of the ongoing A River Runs Through It grant supported project (funded by the Alabama 'Support the Arts' License Tag ) that has students in different parts of the state completing murals that show the waters and rivers of Alabama and the wildlife, plantlife and humans who depend on the water. As the murals in different parts of the state are completed, under the direction of Nancy Raia, ESAC's Community Arts Director, they will culminate in an exhibit in August - September in the ESAC Courtyard Gallery.
